Question:

The runt of my gerbil baby's?

My gerbil had unexpected litter of 8 gerbil baby's and the runt of the litter was slighty smaller than the rest but as the have got older the runt is exceptionally small compared to all the others they are twice the size should i be worried about the runt? and is there anything i can do to help it grow a little bigger?

  1. runts are naturally small. There's not mush you can really do about it. As long as it is getting along with the others, and not getting picked on, it should be fine.

    If you notice others are climbing all around it, or you see he has a bruise or blood somewhere, take it out immediately.

  2. It's fine....it's just small thats all. There isnt much you can do to help it, just make sure it gets food and water, and lots of love! i personally like the runts the best just because they are so small and cute.

    dont worry about it too much, as long as its healthy thats all you need to worry about

  3. Runts are naturally small but you could try giving it a bit more food it probably misses out at meal time with it's brothers and sisters crowded around pushing it out of the way other than that theres nothing you can do if it's healthy just small don't worry it'll be ok
