The scab is coming off my tattoo but its stinging!?

Hi, i got my tattoo about 10 days ago, on my foot just below my ankle, it started to scab right away and now its sort of flaking off, im still using savlon which was what my artist told me to use, however in the places where the scab has flaked off, not only is it kind of grayer than the rest of the tattoo, but it stings like h**l! Does this mean my scabs have prematurely come off or somthing? Or is my skin reacting to the cream? All answers greatly appreciated.

it should be itching not stinging you may be starting to get an infection

try using regular lotion  (nonscented)

the cream is irritating your skin. ideally you dont want your tattoo to scab at all and after 10 days it should have nothing but the "snake skin" over it. sounds like your tattoo is going to come out faded and u will need a touch up

I'm pretty sure your skin is re - acting to the cream. Polysporin works the best, hands down. Just don't pick the scab off. Put the polysporin on in the morning and at night. Also, when you get out of the shower. Hopefully this will help you.
