The Catalan giants were awarded two penalties in the game, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Nocerino-c6332 scored the only goal
of the game for Milan.
Allegri believes that the referee got it wrong with the second-penalty awarded against his side, but believes that his side made too many mistakes in the game. The former Cagliari boss believes that his team lost their plot after
conceding the second goal, minutes before the half-time whistle.
While talking to the reporters, Allegri said:
“We made a lot of mistakes and misplaced passes where we had the chance to run into space. We opened the game for a while and I think we go out with our heads held high. After the 1-1 we felt that we had the chance to qualify,
as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 had some pressure on them and it showed. It’s only normal that after going 3-1 up it was all easier for them.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alexandre-Pato-c4901 made a return to the team after he was called in as a 69th minute substitute, but the Brazilian lasted for only 13 minutes, and was subbed after picking up another injury. While commenting on the striker’s
substitution, Allegri believes that the situation is getting grief for him.
“He felt another twinge on the back of his thigh and the medical staff will evaluate it. If he has hurt himself again, then that will be a problem, as the poor lad has been carrying these problems for two years.”
Pep Guardiola’s side will now play either http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 or Benfica in the semi-finals of the competition. On the other hand, Milan will now look to focus on their league campaign, as they are leading the Serie A standings so far.
