The serial number on the bottom of my laptop rubbed off....is there another way I can find out the number?

Serial number for what? The laptop itself, try looking in the BIOS it may be listed there. If not try looking under the battery, sometimes the manufacturers put a second label there.

If you mean your windows serial number (your CoA - Certificate of Authenticity or CD Key) then download and run this http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinde... it will list your Windows Licence number amongst other things (Office and other software)

Click start, then right click My Computer, select Properties.... there you go.
