  1. A wire of suitable size for the sub-panel should be run from the ground bar in the sub panel back to the ground bar in the service panel.

    The neutral bar in the sub-panel must be run back to the neutral bar in the service panel and not grounded at the sub-panel.

    To be safe all this work should only be done by a licensed electrician.
