The share of energy resources used by the United States that comes from other countries?

Like, energy that other countrys produce that the US uses (not destroys like everyones says energy can't be created or destroyed) You know what I mean... PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!

Approximately one half of our petroleum products, ex-nat gas, comes from imports. We are the third largest producer of oil in the world.  But, several of the national forests are not appropriate according to legislators and the Court system for use.  On a practical level one half is imported.
