  1. Well, my room has about 30 different toys of Optimus Prime, and a couple dozen other Transformers, but I'm not a member of the Cult of Primus.

So, you know, maybe she just likes those things.

You should probably do the honorable thing and, you know, ask HER.

BTW, what does her being white have to do with anything?

  2. It's not necessarily any religion.  I've got stars around my apartment too, but I'm an atheist.  And an astronomer.

  3. the moon, sun, and stars, have been involved with most religions since the begining of time.  Those are the promanant features when you are outside and look up, away from earth.

She could be scientific.  Most of my decorating includes sun, moon, and stars, but I have my B.S. in physics and astronomy

  4. Ask her if she knows anything about Hinduism or (If you are a REALLY lucky man) Tantrism.

In these traditions, The Sun is Shiva and the moon is his wife Pavarti/Shakti. (You can often find art symbolizing this union, especialy in India, Thailand, and other Hindu-influenced areas) The basic sense is that of perfect purpose from two wholes making a larger whole - each with it's own power and purposes... uniting.. by free will and making something wonderful... (i.e. stars)

The stars symbolize the children of the universe.

It is also possible that she is feeling some "pull" from within herself that causes here to fixate on these oblects. She may not even know why they mean so much to her. She may be subconsciously searching for their meaning in her llife.

I also agree with others that she may have a wiccan slant. Either way, if you are not interested in a strong woman who will always seek her own power... If you are not strong enough to be such a woman's partner... Run now

The other option is... She just likes these motifs...

And, I agree with other posters here... you really should already know the significance after nine months with her... :-(

    Good Luck

  5. Cosmology.

i am not making that up, look at my source.

  6. it isnt religion it is astrology

  7. Astrology, star signs are the zodiac. You have that in the wrong order. Most religion comes from the zodiac. It dates back to ancient Egypt, thousands of years before the Abrahamic religions. It is all complete non-sense. People invented these things and all religions that followed them to explain the things about the world they could not otherwise explain.

  8. its either Orthodox Islam or Nation of Islam (NOI) if memory serves me.

  9. astrology, umm Arabics, jews, greeks (ancient), i don't think she is hiding a religion, just thinks the signs are pretty

  10. Its NOT Islam, The Star is not in any way a symbol that is used in Islam, the crescent is the only thing that is used, and only in decorations.

I'm not sure if its Wiccan either, why don't you see for yourself:

  11. Astrology probably--------

by the way this is the Astronomy topic--

  12. LoL

Well, the sun is an average sized, G class star, about halfway through it's 9 billion year life cycle on the main sequence.

The moon is a natural satellite that orbits the Earth and gives us, among other things, our ocean tides, as well as a pretty view in the night sky.  (Go out and look tonight, and upward and to the left of the moon you can see the star Regulus, the planet Mars, and the Planet Saturn all lined up in a row, in that order).

The stars are basically masses of incadescent gas, gigantic nuclear furnaces.  They are hot, they are not places we could live.  But here on Earth there'd be no life without the light our sun gives.

I'm sure your girlfriend is a perfectly nice girl.

However, if she believes in ASTROLOGY please have her read the link posted below to disabuse herself of such ridiculous notions.

Thanks, have a great day!  :-)

  13. Wicca

  14. oh don't worry! she probably just think they are cool. she probably watched or read about stories that had them in it. like when i was little i use to watch sailor moon and all and it had the signs on there so that's why i like it. you know like if... hmmm... you like things with wizards or something and you had stuff with that on it all over the place. llike what you like you have your place decorated in that stuff.

if you're not sure then ask her this simple question:

heyy babe or boo or what ever you call her and say how did you get so interested in it? i mean i wouldn't mind if someone asked HOW i got interested.

  15. well i know that a moon and a star is for islam.

but sorry i dont know what the sun stands for.

wait why does it have to be reigion, and y wont u just ask her,

    thats weird

  16. If you've been dating the girl for nine months and don't have any idea of her spiritual beliefs, then you guys are meant to be. Sun,moon and stars,...you've gotta be kiddin' me!?! Chicks dig weird fru-fru c**p sometimes,... If her entertainment center came from IKEA would you think she were into Norse Mythology? Why don't you actually TALK to HER about her beliefs instead of jumping to conclusions and asking a bunch of people who don't know c**p about her?

  17. Islam

  18. as the moon, stars and sun have been visible to all people for all time, it is consevable that they are a part of all mythology and religions in varying degrees. However, I think you want to get her checked over by a doctor thats shes not a few thousand years old, because she is most likely to be part of the ancient egyptian religion! They feature heavily in it, so keep an eye out for cats!

  19. My wife surrounds herself with pictures and art of the big cats (lions, tigers, pumas, etc). There's nothing religious about it, she just likes big cats. As for what your girlfriend likes, maybe she just likes stars and moons. ASK HER.

  20. I would word this as; What religion is from the moon and stars rather than the moon and the stars are from what religion. Just a trifling point but celestial bodies don't come from religions ; although religions sometimes can come from celestial influences.

  21. I dont think all the astronomical symbols have a root source, you could research it though.

  22. It is because she likes them.

  23. well it came from times like the greeks and romans, but now is commonly found in the religions of pagonism wiccan and satanic.

  24. OKAY OKAY

SEEMS LIKE U NEED TO STAND UPSIDE DOWN AND LET ALL THE BLOOD RUSH TO YOUR BRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOMETIMES PEOPLE LIKE STUFF FOR NO REASON AT ALL.......DONT BE SO JUDGEMENTAL AND PREJEDUCIDED.....

  25. Islam? I thought, but you may want to ask if she is a nature worshiper, sometimes affiliated with WICCA groups. Interesting!!

  26. Hmm...I know that the symbol for Islam is a crescent moon next to a star.

But I'm guessing that the moons and stars and suns everywhere mean that she just has a dreamy decorating taste or she's creepily into astrology.

    Best of luck!

  27. I think she is wiccan or muslim :)

  28. Probably some New Age religion where heavenly bodies are those of power.  It was based off the original greek worship of the moon and stars.

  29. Catholic relegion

  30. No religion, but astronomy

  31. Wiccan
