The sims 2 won't load??

it loads fine in the beginning, and then when i click on a lot it doesn't load, it just stays at the loading screen forever (i tested it, about 5 hours passed)

anyone know why?

Is your Sims 2 game an actual bought copy or a download? If it was downloaded chances are it might be corrupt. Also I've seen problems with people whose game freezes up on them when they enter a certain lot. Also is your PC able to handle the game's graphics.

Maybe your computer can't handle the graphics. Go to the options (the circle with the three dots) and click on the pic. of the Computer monitor. Set all graphic options to their lowest degree. Try opening the lot. That is all I can think of! I hope this helps!
