make sure it is the first disc not the second...and if you have any extensions or w.e. make sure it is the last version that you downloaded that you r puting in....

Have you recently installed a new expansion pack? If so, which one?

if its installed and its the cd 1 and the right cd out of the collection then maybe it is scratched/.=/

if you've added expansion packs then you have to put in the expansion pack disk. Because then it can run with confirmation that the expansion packs are in fact now a part of the game.
