The sims deluxe edition not working?!?!?!

I been bored lately and at night i like to play this game but recently i havent been able to.I downloaded this game before and i was able to play just fine the only thing was it was downloaded with the other game sims superstar. Now that i want to ONLY the sims deluxe edition it work and everything works just find until a pop up comes out saying this ''it has come to our attention that you have installed another sims expasion pack after the sims deluxe edtion. For this to work prperly, The Sims deluxe edition installer will now update your installation." And sometimes when i put play and its loadings it comes out fine with the blue screen and everything fine and then out of nowhere a popup came up saying that it dosent work and theres an error. SO if you could help me that would be very cool!

try restarting your computer. Or uninstall the expansion pack and try reinstalling it

you either have to delete the sims superstar expansion pack , or use the superstar disc to play ? i duno try that =)
