  5. They were all known as Mrs Henry. On more formal occasions the full Mrs Henry VIII was used. Another thing they had in common, they were all women and suprising each came from a mixed parentage, all 6 had both a mother and father at conception. Scray really.

  11. In order:

Catherine of Aragon - Mother of Mary I - divorced

Anne Boleyn - Mother of Elizabeth I - beheaded

Jane Seymour - Mother of Edward VI - died in childbirth

Anne of Cleves - divorced  - unlikely marriage ever consummated - was still good friends with Henry VIII after marriage had ended

    Catherine Howard - beheaded

    Katherine Parr - survived him

  12. Katherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Katherine Howard and Katherine Parr. Is that what you wanted to know?

  13. Catherine of Aragon - originally his brother's bride, but he died, and Henry married.  Love match.  But she couldn't have a son.  Her daughter became Bloody Mary.   He divorced her to marry

Anne Boleyn --  who gave birth to Elizabeth I.   She did a lot for the Protestant cause, the Reformation cause in England, but Henry had her painted as an adulteress, which she almost certainly was not, and had her beheaded to marry

Jane Seymour.  She died in childbirth.

Next came Anne of Cleves who couldn't speak much English and Henry didn't like her so she didn't have any children, but was put away, divorced, but given a home and separate maintenance.

Then came Katherine Howard, who most certainly was an adulteress and he had her beheaded and

married Katherine Parr, who escaped Henry's tyrannical inconstancy because he died.

  14. firstly he married katherine of aragon from spain, after henry's brother (who was katherine's first husband) passed away. they were married for a long time before henry divorced her for Anne Boleyn. Katherine later died (suspected poisoning at the time, however experts now believe it was cancer). On the day of her death the court reportedly wore yellow- it is unknown whether that was in celebration of her death (traditionally yellow is a happy colour in england) or as a sign of repect (yellow is spain's national mourning colour). their relationship produced a daughter, mary, who is now commonly known as 'bloody mary'

next he married anne boleyn, and they had a daughter elizabeth, who became queen elizabeth the first. because of anne's lack of providing henry with a son, their marriage saw problems, and anne was eventually beheaded for crimes of witchcraft and incest (it was reported she was having an affair with her brother, who was also hanged).

soon after anne's beheading henry married jane seymour, but she died in childbirth.

next he married Anne of Cleves, from Germany, as a way of making an alliance with the Lutherans. She spoke little English and was deemed as being 'dumb'. She couldn't get pregnant so he divorced her.

After divorcing Anne he married Katherine 'Kitty' Howard, Anne Boleyn's cousin. She was beheaded for having an affair with Thomas Culpepper.

Then lastly he married Katherine Parr, and died while married to her.
