  1. if you're really want to stay in that area you could do the first part "don't lose hope" at the very bottom of your neck and let the rest of the quote run centered across your back, almost on the top of your shoulders.

But just an FYI- no matter what size and style of font you get you will always have ppl asking you "what's that say?" (usually said with a drunken slur and poke in the back). I have a few "word" tats, and I've been putting up with this for 10 years now. (mine are actually really easy to read if your not a dumba**)

Good luck making your decision! BTW- Great quote.

  2. sounds like its your first tattoo?

get it if you want but i wouldn't suggest on your neck. maybe something a little more hidden, atleast for your first one.

the lettering will have to be big enough to be able to read. they can't smudge too. and over time as your skin moves about they have to be readable then also. so youc ant have it too small.

college notepad paper writing is too small. needs to be bigger. like atleast the headings on your paper (atleast)

mention the size and only then we can say too small or ok-sized.

talk to your artist and see what he says. a quote like that is quite long. get it on your arm or leg or back or something. not your neck.

  3. That is a lot of text for just the back of your neck. I like the quote but I think you should really rethink the location... Many tattoo artists are also weary of doing a lot of very small text because they often bleed into one another.

  4. it depends on ur font size. But my advice is that the sentence is too long so u have to have a small font.I think its gonna be too tiny when its done. so think of anther place to get it.

  5. It might be fine now, but when you get older you'll wrinkle and it would kinda just look weird.

  6. Consider the difference in size of your neck compared to a billboard.

Now consider this ... In marketing they teach you that the most effective billboard ads are the ones with three words or less.

    Why don't you make a T-shirt instead?

My grandma made something real similar to your Sun/Moon tattoo idea.

It was a thing we used to keep on the toilet tank to hide the spare roll of

toilet paper. After a while we got tired of it..

  7. Way back when I was in premed I toyed with the idea of getting a cute little tat.

I brought it up to my boyfriend.

He told me about a heavy Hispanic woman he was walking behind at a flea market. She brought a finger up to one nostril so she could blow snot out of the other.

While wiping some mucus off of her hand on to her shorts my boyfriend noticed a tattoo that read" "Born to Loose." He still wonders if it was the to or the loose that was in error.

He summed it up when he said: "Every time I see a girl with a tattoo I think of her ... so what kind are you going to get?"

    I never did.

I agree with Sam ... make a shirt.

I've got a closet full of clothes that have either gone out of style or my feelings about them have changed.

There's some poor soul out there with a tattoo that reads:

    "Disco Baby"

  8. you dont want to get the text too small, it could blurr together over time.
