  1. Depends on the IN and OUT capabilities of your television set.  I have a 51" Magnavox HDTV, however I do not use it's speakers, instead I keep it's volume on 0 and exclusively utilize my H/K Surround Sound System to provide the sound.  If the rear of your television has a Yellow/White/Red OUT, then you are in luck, just run standard AV cables to your audio system IN...if not, please let me know what you do have, and we will see.

  2. If you mean for a DVD player then just run the sound directly from the player to the sound system. If you mean for the TV then it depends if your TV has audio output capabilities. Check the back of the TV for any port that says something like "audio out". A word of warning: You're assuming the TV's SPEAKERS are broken. If its something broken internally then running the sound out will probably not help.

  3. If you have a cable box, you can run the audio out of it into a receiver. If you don't, you can use the output audio on the tv (if it has them). If it doesn't, you can use the output audio on your vcr but you'll also have to use the vcr to tune tv channels.
