im English and proud to be, is it me or does the rest of europe feel that brussels and the EU are stopping countries having there own identities, because the stopping all borders through europe, the EURO currency, immigration, and there encouraging countries to adopt that S****y eu flag

And here is why: the UK decided on its own to allow much more immigrants than the rest of the EU

The UK DOES NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMON IMMIGRATION POLICY and is NOT PART OF THE FREE CIRCULATION AREA OF PEOPLE (Schengen area).

It is on you to keep your own identity.

You can´t just do nothing and blame Brussel for your inaction. If you want to be hear you are free to open an on-line petition EU-wide for strict laws against immigration and with over 1 million signatures (easy in the EU) they are OBLIGED to have it debated and voted in the parliament.

BTW: NO EUROPEANS ARE TRYING TO FORCE YOU TO ADOPT THE EURO. I am not interested in the UK joining. But YOUR GOVERNMENT AND FINANCIAL INTERESTS WANT SO !!!

It would be nice to have a pan-european organisation that wasn&#039;t blindly europhillic.

Maybe we could get some of our euro-tax back to pay for it in the form of an EU grant - oops I forgot, they only pay to promote their own position, and to &#039;re-educate&#039; those who don&#039;t agree.

Well I would prefer less poodling about after the U.S. but I think the referendum should of been called,I am English and don&#039;t answer to the word british and I would be most annoyed if called a European,I am not and never will be..as for immigration and a free working market we got the S****y end of the stick,,great I can go work in Rumania for 2 sheckles and frigging goat per month,wow what an exchange huh...

The EU is great! Im from the Caribbean and we&#039;re actually following the EU with our own version of it. Anyway the EU is only free market democratic union powerful enough to challenge the US hegemony on global power....GO EU!...UK needs to get with the program........and about the identity.....what you have is UK&#039;s influence on a shared European identity.
