  1. discharge

  2. Static electricity  is caused by the dry conditions in one's environment and is not always present . It is usually noticed in the winter time of the year .I always get shocked when I get out of my truck ,so I discharge the electricity that I'd get stored up , by touching my keys to the door of the truck and watch the blue sparks fly !

  3. charge -caused by static electricity

  4. charge. There are positive and negative charges. So a charge passes from the rug to your finger. I think it is the negative one, but I can't remember for sure.

  5. discharge....it happens when elcetrons are given off.

  6. "static electric" sparks

  7. ITS CALLED STATIC ELECTRICTY!

  8. Static electric discharge.  When you shuffle your feet on a rug, particularly wool, you gather a charge of negative particles (electrons) which will generate a spark of static electricity when you hold your finger or any other part of your body to a grounded metal object.  The longer you shuffle without discharging the charge you are building up, the larger the spark and the more it'll hurt!

  9. check your clothes if you are wearing to much nylon it builds up a charge  and jumps when you earth with someone

  10. Short.

Sparks that go FROM your finger are produced by positives looking for a ground.

If the spark jumps TO your finger you are the ground and the positive charge comes from somewhere else.

Electricity always looks for the closest ground.
