The stimulus checks ????

ok im i just turned 19 ( i was 18 when i recieved my income tex return check) and i only got like 122 back.... and i was wondering, since im so young, do i not get a stimulus check?

my dad claimed me on his income tax, but bc im over 17 they arent getting a check for me.. so will i get one?

If your dad claimed you as a dependent, you will be ineligible for the rebate, but you may still benefit under the plan.

While the rebate depends on your 2007 status and income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008, taxes would be cut in 2008 from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.

So if you have taxable income in 2008, you will see a tax cut when you file in 2009.

if you checked the box on your return that you can be claimed as a dependent then you will not be eligible for a rebate.

go to irs.gov and click on where's my stimulus rebate payment twice and put ytour tax info in and see if u get a statys or not,if you were claimed as a dependent,it'll say you're not eligible or if it hasn't been processed yet it'll say no info yet,or if you're eligible and it's been processed it'll give you a date on when it'll be mailed.

If you were going to get one... you would of received 2-3 papers in the mail saying what your getting and when. I am pretty sure you aren't getting anything, You had to of made 5,000 + dollars last year at a job. So I think just your dad gets one, UNLESS he owes the USA taxes or IRS.
