Nice, fuzzy story; but ancient news.

Especially considering the cub was bought from Harrods back in the sixties.

I actually knew about Christian the lion from the book his owners wrote about him, and the troubles they had getting him to Africa.  I thought then that this was a story that needed to be heard around the world, and I'm glad his old owners are trying to get Christian and his loving ways back in the news.  

I also loved Frasier the lion, who was 'retired' from a zoo in southern California, and who actually fought a younger lion, took over his pride, and fathered over 70 cubs before he died.  Lions are AMAZING animals, and I've actually met, petted, and cuddled several of them ... but Frasier and Christian are the best sort of stories about lions we have today.  RIP Frasier.  I'm glad Christian is still alive.
