The sunroof on my 04 Sunfire doesn't work?

When I press the button it sounds like the motor is whirring, but the sunroof isn't going anywhere. Also it is still stuck up about 1/2 an inch or so, just where it seals. The windows still work no problem, it's just the sunroof. I don't use it too often except to let the car air out when it has been sitting for awhile, but I'm a little worried with it being slightly up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like your regulator has stopped working. Go to a place that does free diagnosis. Call around from the yellow pages to see what shops will give you a free estimate. That way your not out any money if you choose not to get it fixed.
