The surf looks good @ Chennai. Is the water real cold though? (read on)

At beaches in Los Angeles, the Pacific is almost too cold to swim in whereas the Atlantic Ocean is a little better. I think California gets a current from Alaska, and FL & NC get a current from the Bahamas.

Yeah, and if anybody wants to sneak me Carol's e-mail address go ahead. She's that girl from Madras who leaves snail trails everywhere she goes.

i am unable to follow about other details, since i am unable to understand, but regarding water it is not too cold or too hot, it is in the average temperature.

Hi,

Chennai's weather is always "Hot, Hotter, Hottest". So never could you think of water being that cold. Its always in the normal temp and most of the times its hot. The salt content is immense and sometimes you may get tanned. I am not used to the water there, but yes for a few people its manageable and for some its wonderful.
