It was truly an experience."

Dan K. party of 2 ordered Filet and Lamb Chops and rated the food excellent because, "The food was prepared exactly to order, tasted fantastic and the service was great" and writes on 1/19/2005: "My date and I visited The Table for dinner. The restaurant was busy but our reservation was there and we were seated immediately. The young woman who was our server, (her name escapes me), was knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list and provided excellent service. My date ordered the shrimp flamenco appetizer which is crisped shrimp atop an apple chorizo salsa. The flavors of both complimented each other beautifully and the contrast of the hot crisp shrimp to the cold salsa was a treat. I enjoyed the lobster gazpacho soup which was a tomato broth with chunks of Maine lobster. The filet ($25) was a very large portion, (maybe even 16 oz.) and was prepared exactly medium rare as ordered. It was served with fresh cooked broccoli rabe and scoops of a combination of broccoli and cheese. The lamb chops were plentiful and cooked perfectly as well. I couldn't ask for a better meal. The Argentinean Cabernet was also excellent and a bargain at only $20 for the bottle. The total bill was less than $100 for a dinner that would easily have been double that at many other local restaurants. I would definitely go back to The Table. My only complaint is the noise level is a bit high due to all the hard surfaces. Perhaps some of the glass covered pictures could be replaced with tapestry or oil paintings without the glass to soften the sound."

Laura Trubac party of 3 ordered the Florida Cobb, Pork and rated the food excellent because, "Outstanding, innovative dishes. Truly my favorite Sarasota restaurant." and writes on December 28, 2004: "The Table is our favorite restaurant due to the innovative combination of ingredients. The diver scallops are served on a sweet potato puree. The filet is the best I have had anywhere... thick, tender and cooked to perfection. The BLT salad is large enough for 2 or 3 people, and consists of dark greens, thickly sliced ripe tomatoes, and chorizo slices. The atmosphere is relaxing, with sheer curtains dividing tables, lending the restaurant a cozy feel. Prices are very resonable for a restaurant of this caliber."
