  1. Being that it sounds like a sensory box the most logical answer would be physical. However, if you have a child with sensory issues or PDD (pervasive development disorder)you could pretty much make it fit into all of the above.

  4. It depends primarily on the age of the children and their developmental status.

    Most texture boxes are for infants and young children, so they would be

    -developing intellectually through any experiences, but by discerning the differences between the materials and how they feel to them, as well as being provided with a new experience

    -physical, because of eye-hand coordination and small motor control

    -social, because by being provided with a new object they would initiate new conversations and interactions between children and children w/teachers

    -possibly emotional, because children would be developing a sense of trying new things in a safe setting, and could make connections between textures and other things they feel strongly about.
