The head coach of AC Milan has gone on to remark on their victory against Chievo, and stated that the result would help them perform better in the Champions League.
The under fire head coach of the Rossoneri outfit has gone on to remark that the team is recovering well from the setbacks they received at the start of the Serie A season. The Milanese giants are still not out of the woods as they are in the tenth position
of the Lega, and have suffered a lot of defeats in the opening fixtures of the season.
Of the eleven matches they have played so far in the season, the Rossoneri outfit have only managed to muster a meagre 14 points, and they are well adrift from the league leaders, Juventus, who have managed to score twice as many points from their endeavours
in the League. This has caused quite a bone of contention amongst the Rossoneri fans, who saw their side competing with the Bianconeri outfit in the 2011-12 season. To see their fortunes go pear shaped in such a short span of time has been hard to swallow,
and this has put the future of the current head coach of the Rossoneri outfit under immense scrutiny and speculation.
The club finally had something to cheer about in the 11th match day of the Serie A, when they faced Chievo Verona at the San Siro. It was a much needed win for Milan, Allegri and their fans; as the support of the Curva was beginning to fade away;
and if anything this would divert some pressure on the team and their coach.
Allegri was talking to the media and during his speech, he conceded that the first quarter hour was not easy for his side, but lauded the efforts of his team after that. He was quoted to have said:
“But I think the win against Chievo will be an important one for us. They had put us in a difficult position for the first 15 minutes, but my team recovered well. We are a team that's gaining confidence. Playing at San Siro is never easy, but my young players
are proving their quality and getting used to the experience of winning there.”
Milan will be action in the Champions League, facing off Malaga in the fourth match of the group stages.
