The temperature a lizard has to live in help?

ok so im thinking about getting a lizard but all the ones i have looked at have too have a really high temperature but as i live in england it is very cold on a hot day it would be about 22 degres c but its not normally hot on a normal day it would be about 11 c is there any lizards that dont have to be in a hot temperature of if not is there anyways i could heat the cage with out it cost a fortune?

  1. Almost any lizard is going to need a heat source in that kind of weather. They make heat lamps and heat pads just for reptiles, since most people do not live in or keep their homes at the temps needed for most reptiles. You really should look at some websites, find out what kind of lizard you want and set up the proper habitat for it.


  2. Stop right there - if you are strapped for cash, do not buy any animal.

    You could buy a reptile and it could get ill - i just spent about £700 getting my lizard diagnosed and treated...

    If you can't afford that, you can't afford to get a pet.
