  1. the tension is created by contraction of the myacin filament and a actin filaments in your muscle strands. Neurotransmitters allow calcium to be present in the muscle strands, binding  to the actin filaments' troponin C, creating a spot where the myacin filaements can bind to, and ATP gives a phosphate to myacin filaments, allowing the myacin filaments and actin filaments to bind. Then the actin filament moves, creating a power stroke, causing tension, This process repeats.
