Having a little argument in the office.

If I were to come up to someone and ask for a couple of dollars, would I expect:

1) 2 dollars

or

2) more than two, but not many, of; a small number of; a few:

    2 dollars, but i dont get why some people say a "couple" of dollars and mean 5 or 10.

  4. i have that argument all the time! if someone asked me for a couple i'd give them more than two. i think it really depends on the person you're asking. lol i don't know which is really correct...
