The testing trio set to destroy the field of Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies
The line-up for the Grade 1 Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies is filled with just the best fillies that the racing industry has to offer. The mile and 110 yard race on Friday, 2nd November at Santa Anita has attracted three unbeaten fillies, Executiveprivilege, Dreaming Of Julia and Kauai Katie. Spring In The Air is another bright contestant who has faced fluctuations in the rankings recently, but won a Grade 1 through the very recent outing.
The 7 to 4 entry for the race today, and First Samurai’s bay filly, Executiveprivilege, has won a Grade 3 and then a pair of Grade 1 races, striking a hat-trick in the graded company.
The two-year-old bay filly won the Grade 3 Sorrento Stakes on 9th August, 2012 at Del Mar over 6 ½ furlongs. Already entered as the favourite, the Bob Baffert trained won by 1 ¼ lengths against, Speedinthruthecity.
The filly remained poised with her unbeaten form in the very next graded event too.
The bay filly landed the Grade 1 Del Mar Debutante Stakes on 2nd September, 2012 at Del Mar over seven furlongs. She was yet again sent as the favourite with the same jockey and over the same surface. However, the winning margin this time around was almost negligible, and she pretty much escaped defeat at the hands of, Beholder, who was adrift only by the mark of a nose.
The two-year-old out of, Refugee, went on with unprecedented success, this time winning at Santa Anita.
Executiveprivilege, with her usual team captured the Grade 1 Chandelier Stakes on 29th September, 2012 over a mile and half a furlong by 6 ¼ lengths from, Scarlet Strike.
She will have to look out for the 6 to 1 shot for the race, Kauai Katie, who won two Grade 2 titles in two months. Malibu Moon’s bay filly won the Adirondack Stakes and the Matron Stakes. None of the two was at Santa Anita, but both were raced over dirt.
Dreaming Of Julia, with 7 to 2 chances of winning today has claimed the prize money of the Grade 1 Frizette Stakes on 6th October, 2012 at Belmont Park over a mile.
