The text describes how the atmosphere of school is not conductive to learning.What can be done to change this?

I used to deliver books to schools, and in NYC there frequently was a dope dealer sitting in his Lexus wearing about five pounds of gold. Now if you were 16 yrs. old, who would you want to be, some guy sitting in the AC w/ his girlfriend, or some old guy sweating some books up the stairs w/ a clapped out van at the curb. The schools give no reason to learn or advance.

First - check out the movie "IDIOCRACY"  by the guy who made "OFFICE SPACE" starring Luke Wilson.  It is about how people have been dumbed down in order to be taken advantage of by profiteers.

What happened to all the passion of the 60's?? Students cared then about how the government was mistreating and using people.  There were a lot of news agencies and reporters that were trying to make the world better.

These days all we have is a few corporate owned stations that help promote our Plutocracy and have destroyed our Democracy.

I have tried to get students active in my community but they are too busy being doped by commercialism.

Second: I'm stumped but I keep trying to get people together on this.
