okay so he stood up for jesus and told the other guy to shutup because "this man has done no wrong"

1. he said MAN

2. he said HE HAS DONE NO WRONG

I can say about atheists on here that some have done no wrong, and some are arrogant and need to shut up....but, the point is the same...he didnt think Jesus was holy...he thought he had not committed a crime and he stood up for him...and went to heaven.

so why do you keep shoving this whole.."you have to believe in order to be saved" stuff?

apologies to any atheists offended by this post...it runs both ways I know...but, this fit this particular question....

  1. No, the thief on the cross believed Jesus' claim of kingship, that is why he asked Jesus to remember him when Christ was to come into His kingdom. Only God can promise who will go to heaven, Christ promised this to him because of his belief. The good thief rebuked the other because he knew Jesus was the Christ and saving them from the cross was not what He was saving them from. It's not about saving the physical life, it's about saving the eternal one after the first death.

    Sarah called Abraham "Lord" as in the head of the household.

  2. I don't understand why you complain so much.  If you do not want to see what is in front of your face, then fine.  But do not tell me to ignore it and not tell others.  If one, notice I did not say you, does not follow the commands, not suggestions, of God then they will not get the rewards of God.  Because God is a judge and this is His world, He will either reward or punish anyone who does not do His commands.

    To be saved, means to be saved from His wrath that is against those who rebel against His authority.

  3. Let me keep this simple:

    Thief 1: Believes in Christ and goes to Heaven

    Thief 2: Selfish and is burning in h**l

    How is that hard to fathom?

  4. i thought in the beginning the way you were asking question seems to be very cleaver. but sorry to say, u don't seem so.

    how can you imagine a person hanging on the cross with so much pain and agony will deliver 3 hour speech to get redeemed?

    he recognized jesus as savior and asked whole hearted just to forgive him. a person in dying stage does not think anything or the words he is going to utter will be sincere. even in law they accept the dying man statement to be true.

  5. I think the greater spiritual message is  Jesus did not judge nor condemn the man. A good philosophy for all of us to follow.

  6. WHY DOES THERE HAVE TO BE A NEW HEAVENS AND EARTH

    Jesus said,"you will be with me in paradise," and who says that means

    heaven?

    Some have the thought of heaven and h**l when it comes to asking questions [ DON'T THEY ], and some have the thoughts of the new heavens and the new earth [ DON'T THEY ], 2Pet.3:13; and coming down from God is the new heavens Rev.3:12; that is in and from heaven Gal.4:26; Heb.12:22-24; Rev.21:1-5;

    Rev.20:1-6,12,13; no Satan 1000 years, the heavenly [ for the new heavens ], are with Jesus at his second coming to resurrect the earthly John 3:16; the world goes all the way back to Abel.

    Acts 2:27-35; Matt.22:42-44; why should the thief on the cross go to a place where David has not yet gone to? It is still to come, when?

    John 3:13-15; Jesus alone went back to heaven where he came from to wait until Rev.12:3,4,6,7-12 [ Satan down ]; had been done by Michael, 2520 years after Babylon ended Judah kings, 606 BC [ it is now 2614 years after at 2008 after Christ and the KJV Bible was published 397 years ago to tell the world in the last days and the time of the end ].

    Michael will be in the time of the end Dan.12:1-13; with Satan cast down in the time of the end to have his short time, John 6:39,40,44; the heavenly for the new heavens have a place prepared for them John 14:3;

    ALL MEANS ALL

    1Cor.15:22-28,51-53 [ As in Adam, all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive ]; Heb.7:29 [ It is apointed unto man once to die and after this the judgement ]; 2Cor.2:5;10 [ All will stand before Christ ]; Rom.14:9-12 [ Christ Jesus is Lord of the dead and the living ]; Acts 17:31; Acts 24:15 [ the resurrection is of the just and the unjust; John 5:26-29; Dan.12:2; Isa.26:19 ]; Job 19:25,26; Psm.104:29,30;

    No one has to put in a good word for the believer or the unbeliever [ John 12:47,48; Heb.4:12; all have to know God's word to be judged ], all will stand before God to answer for his own self, Jesus will save all possible [ the believer is like unto Jesus, he wants all possible saved ], into the kingdom paradise of God to have the right to the tree of life that has been a promise since Eden Gen.3:22; Rev.2:7; 22:14;

    How long will it be after Eden until the salvation of mankind will began?

    Will all have the same promise, as the theif Jesus spoke to?

    Will all from Rev.20:12,13; get to be in paradise forever?

    What percentage is in Rev.20:7-10; when Satan is cast in the lake of fire that fire rains down from heaven on them and they have lost paradise forever?

  7. He said to Jesus remember me to your Father,and Jesus replied on this day you will be in paradise with me it was his faith.He knew Jesus was The Son of God.

  8. The thief on the cross that was saved had previously heard some of the messages of Jesus, and of His claim to be the Messiah, and Son of God. But had not believed until the time he confessed Christ, while on the cross.

  9. Is it a question of law that the innocent must be proven beyond reasonable doubt and that all the evidence must not be circumstantial but fact. So did they kill the wrong person

  10. A story that has no foundation.

  11. "And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. "

    Look closer inside your own question and you will find the answer.

  12. He beilieved jesus to be innocent, make it say what you want, open your heart and ask god to teach you what it really means, if you still get bad vibes from the book, then i am full of c**p and you may dismiss me. although my faults do not invalidate the book

    if you want to find a reason to rebel, and have an excuse to make your own rules, then dismiss the book now, for you must have an open heart. Those who thirst  and hunger shall be quenched and fed
