  1. I assume that "the tide is high" means that the relationship is being put to the test.

  2. the tide is high... and i am stuck in a jam-packed bus, in the dam* rush-hour traffic ... if the bus driver don't get a move on it, the guy sitting next to where i'm standing is gonna get a shower... argh...

  3. Use the Blondie song.  "I'm not the kind of girl...who gives up ju-ust like tha-aaaaaat..."

  4. The tide is high:  I would think of that phrase to mean that a change is forthcoming...  It could be good, it could be bad (all depending on your point of view) but it is coming and cannot be stopped. For insperation I would look up a song from roger waters (the guy who wrote most of the pink floyd albums). He had a solo album in the 80's called "Radio K.A.O.S". The last track is called "the tide is turning". I suggest downloading it or looking up it's lyrics. It may give you some good inperation. Be warned about that song, it only really makes sense after listening to the whole album which plays out like a movie, so just listening to the last track would be like watching the last ten minutes of a movie. It should make enough sense though.
