The time in spain?

why is spain on europen time when most of spain is west of the grenitwch line ie bst , thank you ,

If you know anything about spain, you know they like to stay up late, even though they are so far west of say italy, they are on the same time. I doubt they'd consider ever changing.

we aren't on european time...we have one hour more than uk for example
