Question:

The tone on my speakers doesn't work. Why?

I just bought these Logitech speakers with immense volume and tone for my computer. But when I turn the tone up, I hear a beating sound. Like when you put a speaker against a metal wall. It's sorta like a wobbling beat or echo. It's kinda tinny.

What the heck is it and how do I fix it? Cos tone makes it all sound better, heh. Thanks

  1. Do you need to install them?

You can run a diagnostics test on your PC.

  2. Some amplifiers suffer an internal low frequency oscillation, called "motor boating". This is due to either a bad design or to defective parts in the circuit. Try not to boost too much, or if you do, do it at lower volume. Then see if it doesn't beat.

  3. You don't have them balanced.  They should not be close to a metal wall  that will sometimes cause a feedback..
