  1. grind up aspirin! 20 times more efficient!

  2. well, wut ur supposed to do is wet ur face and then put little globs of toothpaste on ur acne then sleep with it on. ppl told me that it doesnt work tho, and u wind up getting toothpaste all over ur bed. try proactiv. it works soooo well even on really small pimples. :]

  3. It does help dry it out, which helps it go away faster. Any mint tooth paste, not gel, will do. Apply it ONLY to the infected area before you go to sleep - not too much, just a think layer so that it won't stick to your pillow. It's also best to let it dry first before you put your head to the pillow cause it gets sticky. In the morning, wash your face as usual, well as you should to help with the acne better. An acne wash is best! Plus, drink a lot of water to also help clear up your face. Good luck!

  4. It's nonsense. There is no ingredient in toothpaste to have the effect of either drying the grease or attacking the bacteria.

Foolish people think anything out of a tube works, but only if it has salicylic acid (basis of aspirin) or peroxide in it, will it work. Neither is in toothpaste.

  5. ok... you just wash your face with water and then you pat it dry.

then you take a little bit of tooth paste and rub it where your breaking out and leave it on for 10-15 mins. then wash off and use rubbing alchohal and go to sleep ;D and it works pretty good

  6. ew, acne is qwerty

  7. When I was a kid my friend and I both tried that about twice.  Every time our whiteheads swelled up even bigger than before.  So no, it doesn't work.

  8. It doesn't work... if anything, toothpaste would clog your pores.  But don't try to pop the bugger either, or you'll probably end up with a giant red, bloody spot on your face instead, and that is far more noticeable.

  9. Never pop pimples!!  People make all kinds of suggestions about the best thing to do to cure acne.  Some cures I’ve heard include putting oatmeal, honey, lemon juice, tea tree oil, cucumber, vinegar, milk of magnesia or toothpaste on your face.  Practically every cosmetics company and company that makes personal care products makes something that is a “sure cure” for acne.  If we think about this, and use some common sense, we have to come to the conclusion that there is no quick or easy cure for acne, because if there was it would be well known and doctors would be telling everyone about it.

Numerous companies make a lot of money persuading people to buy products that at worst will make the acne worse, and at best may help some people a little.  Often fewer products are better.  People often make their acne much worse by using too many products.  There really is no quick fix for acne.  Don’t spend a lot of money on products just because their ads say that they will cure acne.  Your doctor is the best person to ask for help, and he or she may recommend some prescription medication or non-prescription treatment that may be suitable for you..

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing.  Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean.  Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that.  Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue.   Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne.  Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep.  A healthy life style will make a difference.  Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.

  10. I usually use a white paste (instead of a gel) and leave it on overnight-- it's not foolproof, but it works all right. I'm sure it's worth a shot!
