The trim wont come up on my boat motor?

mercruiser, inboard outboard. the motor will trim down but not up I change the fuse and checked the wiring.

Check the fluid level.

If it trailers but doesnt trim  look at the trim switch located on gimbal ring assembly .Thats where the drive attaches to .On either side there are switches It is marked on the side .Check for corroded and broken wire. These are Not easy to replace.

Is the motor running when you push the up button?I am going to assume no.Is it clicking or doing nothing at all?You should try to bypass the solenoid by using a jumper wire.Connect the

one end to the red wire and touch the other end to the large blue wire.If your drive goes up,try touching the wire to the small blue wire.If nothing happens your solenoid is no good and must be replaced.This is probably your problem.Good luck.
