The two of the top ring of lights are red on my xbox 360, its not powering up?

The two of the top ring of lights are red on my xbox 360, its not powering up. What does that mean? It's not the lights that indicate that it's overheating. They are the two that are at the top if the xbox is standing up. Any help would be appreciated.

your over heating one more red light and then your really in trouble. you might have to start using an additional fan to keep it cool DO NOT USE THE TOWEL TECHNIQUE this will only help temporarily and could cause permanent damage

i forget, either 3 red rings or 4 mean overheat/hardware failure

2 is defenitly not a hardware issue

check all the plugs, push em all in

it means its over heated its not the red ring of death hope i helped

it means like just keep it in a bigger area and let it cool down

Hi John

2 red lights is not the red rings of death if youhave this you would see 3 red lights.

2 red lights means that your Xbox 360 is overheating.

To fix this get a hoover and get all the dust out the side vents and also put the power brick up off the floor and on an open box so this can get rid of more heat as well.

If that does not fix it you will have to send it in or find a good guide that tells you how to stop the heat coming from the GPU and the CPU.

its called the "red rings of death"  u gotta call xbox support and tell them that so they can tell UPS to pick it up and send it to one of their headquarters

If it's within the extended 3 year warranty for 3 red ring errors then MS is your best option - just tell them sometimes it has 3 red lights and sometime 2 red lights.

Or you could buy an 'x-clamp fix kit' off me for £4 + p&p. I sell them on Ebay and 1100+ people have fixed their xboxes with my kits. It's simply a replacement for the x-clamps with the right sized bolts, washers and a sachet of thermal paste to replace the awful MS thermal pads + my repair guide is v good with lots of pics and is really easy to follow.
