The two sinks in my kitchen drain very slowly. I have used Draino but with no success.?

I think my drain is blocked but chemicals don't seem to be fixing the problem. Should I call a plumber or is there something else I could do? Sometimes the drain outside overflows onto the cement around it but not all the time. There is toilet paper amongst the water. Is my toilet blocked and is that why my kitchen sinks are slow to empty out? Thanks for your advice..

sounds likes it to me.you need to put a snake down the drain at the farest point that you can.there shoud be some kind of cap you can unscrew to get in to it.

We had exactly the same problem a few months ago.  Drano did nothing to fix the problem because the problem wasn't near the sink.

The biggest clue you've given here is that the drain outside is overflowing.  So the blockage is downstream of the outside drain.

You need to call a plumber.  

It sounds like some plant roots have grown into the pipes below the drain.  The roots are slowing the flow of the water, which is why water is backing up out of the outside drain, and why you're seeing toilet paper coming out.

Incidentally, this is a health hazard.  Please don't want till this question closes before doing something about it!  It needs to be sorted out right away.

I had the same problem with my shower and sinks.I finally used the Liquid Drano Gel and that worked.Use it once a month to keep it unclogged..good luck

it most likely is caused by your "s trap" (the pipe that is shapped like an "s" is blocked pretty good and proper. undo the nuts take it out and have a look. BTW be prepared to dry reach if it is blocked it will smell horrible.

It happened once in my apartment, we call a local plumber and do the job and give us a tip that we should pour some hot water whenever we notice a slow flow of water, that's the case if you have a screen in your pipe meaning to big objects are sucked in whenever it is used. The plumber says it's the formation of the grease of our foods whenever we prepare and clean it.r

Use the power draino thing. The one thats a power not in a liquid form.. it always works better.
