    N2O: 3 atoms

    10.0 / 3 = 3.33 L

    answer c.)

    Equal volumes (at the same T & P) contain the same number of MOLES. Ne has 1/3 as many ATOMS as N2O


  2. 1 mole of all gases occupy the same volume at the same temp and pressure. So 10.0L of each gas will have the same number of MOLECULES as every other gas at same temp and pressure.

    For this question they are asking for number of ATOMS.

    One molecule of Ne has only one atom.

    1 molecule of N2O has 3 atoms.

    Therefore one third of the volume of N2O will have the same number af atoms as Ne.
