The undefeated Frankel’s next stop likely to be Goodwood for the Sussex Stakes
With 11 victories in as many starts, Frankel, will be carrying on with his brilliant form and record, after a convincing victory in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes on 19th June, 2012.
Sir Henry Cecil trained 4-year-old sensation is now eyeing the Sussex Stakes - which will be hosted at Goodwood Race Course on 1st August, 2012.
The son of Galileo, out of mare Kind, picked up his eleventh career victory at the Royal Ascot meet, when he defeated the A.P. O’Brien trained, Excelebration, for the fifth time.
All thanks to the talented jockey, Tom Queally, who helped the runner take the lead in the 1 mile race, and open up an 11 length distance between him and Excelebration, while the third place was secured by, Side Glance.
Sir Henry Cecil commented that the runner came out of the race unscathed. The trainer discussed the options of the runner and stated to the press:
"He seems fine, he went out yesterday for a trot and a walk and we'll feel our way. I'd say at the moment it's more likely he'll go to Goodwood and to York."
The Juddmonte International at York on 22nd August, 2012, might be on Frankel’s programme for this season, but nothing is confirmed yet.
The event at York will be a little different for Frankel, since it covers a distance of ten furlongs as opposed to Sussex Stakes, which runs over 1 mile.
Excelebration might compete in the Sussex Stakes and that will make for an extremely exciting race.
Facing off with Frankel yet another time, spells perfect opportunity for Excelebration to defeat his tormentor, and no more play as a second fiddle to the champion.
The son of Exceed And Excel, out of mare Sun Shower, might rise to the occasion, and come out on top.
The race is still far away, but anxiously awaited already, since the mighty Frankel will attempt to crush all competition under his hooves for the twelfth time in his career.
Excelebration will try his best to defeat, Frankel, and put a full-stop to his unbeaten record.
