  1. if you were told upon hiring that you didnt have to travel.. then yes you can collect.... if you quit you will have to go to a hearing and prove that you had a compelling reason to quit ( which you do ) and also prove that you exhausted all options in resolving the issue before you quit. so be sure and discuss this with all management and try and fix it before you quit ..even if you know it wont work .. you still have to try if you want to collect!


  2. Yes, you quit, so you made a choice.

    You could have stayed employed and traveled while looking for another job.  You choose to leave.

  3. I'm not sure what your question is, but some states allow you to collect unemployment when your employer forces you to make an unreasonable change like that. I can't say what the law is in your state and I couldn't guarantee that you would collect unemployment if you quit for this reason even if your state permits it, but it's not so cut and dry.

    Note that I'm not a lawyer yet and this is not legal advice. You may want to call the state department of labor with such questions.
