  1. THEY ARE WRONG.  Obviously.  Your gut was right...or wrong if you're being taped :)

Also, many units tape even if they are close to weight, especially if there's an upcoming NCO developement course over the horizon.

PT is the uniform.  Sometimes, an improvised ACU ie without top, just tshirt can be done--if you agree to it.  But the regs say totally otherwise.  Of course you would be over this way.

And the shoes can be on for the tape, they just need to be off for the height.

I was a weigh-in NCO for almost all of my career.  If they did this in this manner, be weary of their underlying intent.   They may have motives not so pure.

Heh, I see they flagged you.  It's time to let your commander know and that you want to see the IG.  You want to see this reversed real quick?  Have the reg with you at the ready and your copy of the tape that ultimately led to your flag.

You signed the administrative flag?  Like I said, have all your copies so that they don't make some new "in their favor copies".  Also be ready to be retaped to prove you're not 2% over.

  2. The Reg States they have to weigh and tape you in PT Uniform without shoes... you weight would be off, but your tape would not...

  3. Did they weigh you? If not then how did they do the formula considering your weight? If they put that you weighed too much then your measurements would be off. Oh yeah the reg states that it must be done in the pt uniform the reg is AR 600-9

  4. Being taped in ACUs would definitely add inches to you.  Wait, with the actual ACU top on or the t-shirt?  With the t-shirt you might have less of an argument.  It does suck that it wasn't done without a top on and right after the PT test though.

I would read AR 600-9 and see exactly what it says.
