I raise this point knowing charles and queen camilla will not be popular to all in scotland, wales and northern ireland.

I believe Prince charles is in favour of a commenwealth of nations if scotland ever vote for a republic.

Then he would be king of england but not the above and an elected presidential style person would be voted head of the commenwealth as it stands today.

  1. The monarch has been a figurehead now for many centuries and has no real political power.  Changing the kingdom to a commonwealth would serve no practical purpose.

  2. Well I would hate so see the UK soluble in water.

  3. You would want an elected head of state?like Bush?.

    Stuff That!!!!!.

  4. The Queen is not the ruler you seem to think that she is.

Wake up, Asker!  You been sleeping for the last 200 years?  The UK has its Parliament.  The Queen has LITTLE to do with the everyday running of the country.

  5. I am English & do not want him to be King. Its time we got rid of all the royal family.PS.Has for queen camilla yes of tarts.

  6. Just dissolving the Royal family will do fine.

  7. Camilla will never be queen.

If the countries of the United Kingdom broke up, they all may still have Elizabeth as their queen, especially if they decide that they want to remain in a commonwealth.

England should have home rule: what have you all got against federalism? What's good for Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland is also good for England.

I really don't understand what all this movement toward separatism in Europe is all about. Is it the intention of Scotland to withdraw from the EU if it separates?

I say if it's not broken, don't fix it.

    I don't believe that it's broken.

  8. The sooner it's dissolved the better -

    England wants "Home Rule"...

Lets get rid of the Irish, Welsh & Scots out of the "English" Assembly...

A fair deal for England is all we want...

If England has no say over Scotland, Ireland or Wales - why should their MP's have any say in England !!!

  9. in our days..... yeah

  10. Camilla will never be queen.  I live in te UK, and would like it to become a republic.
