  1. Children need the security of routines to help them develop their confidence and to enable them to feel safe to explore and learn. The routines support play and learning by giving the children opportunities to repeat their patterns of play(Schemas) in different situations and with different equipment. Routine is also important for helping children to know what comes next, helping them to predict and feel familiar with the structure of the day. Hope this helps.

  2. I've always interpreted this question this way:

Emphasis on EVERYDAY to support learning,

e.g. spotting all the red cars parked in the street and counting them

or making a shopping list ( scribble, pictures)

or  sequence of getting up in the morning (maths)

or... think of your own day, the possibilities are endless and kids learn without knowing that they've been taught. In play they can then facilitate and extend. Hope that helps. Good luck with your NVQ!

  3. Every day is an experiance.
