  1. I don't think you need to bail on the VP. I would warn him that you have never played.

    If you do play

1 - keep your head down

2 - after you hit the ball watch where it goes, keep it or the location spotted so you can find it quickly.

3 - relax, unless the vp is a jerk he just wants you to have fun.

4 - if the vp is good, or even just gets the ball airborne don't gush too much, be polite and acknowledge good shots.

5 - the person furthest from the hole plays first, keep pace with the VP. wrap things up in short order and move from one shot to the next quickly, not rushed but look like you are moving.

Keep a smile on your face, have a good time and thank the VP for thinking of you. - (even if you don't go)

  2. make sure you lose (keep your job) :)

  3. hit the ball with golf club and hit hard vola thts it

and don't forget to hit the ball in the direction you want.

Playing professional golf need too much practise and coaching.

  4. I'm afraid there is no quick fix! You need at least 5 lessons and a week between each, and that is if you can practice everyday two to three hours a day. This still won't get you ready in time to play. Be honest and tell your boss you don't know how to play and ask for assistance in learning. I think It will be worse if you show up to play and waist his time.

  5. Just be honest and don't embarrass yourself. Tell the V.P. that you never had the opportunity to play the game and it would be an embarrassment to him if you were to accept his offer. You would look dumber trying to do something at which you had little or no experience than telling him the truth. If he cannot accept that, then he isn't a very smart VP.

  6. Unless he asked you to play like a year from now you are out of luck.  Go back to him and explain that you don't know how to play, you are honored that he asked etc, but if you just get a couple tips off the internet and go out with him you will make a complete fool of yourself.  Decline the invitation as gracefully as possible.

  7. Give the ball a bloody good wallop

If it goes straight in the hole buy everyone a drink

  8. Hello,

Don!t make a fool of yourself, tell him you are flattered he asked, but be honest, tell him that you never played golf.

                                                   good luck
