  2. I had the same exact problem when I was in 7th grade. It's because you're pushing the trumpet way to close to your chops, and using too much pressure. As you progress your muscles will develop and this won't happen.

    Yea it's annoying but with practice it will stop. Band directors will tell you that it's terrible, but famous trumpeters had the same problem. If you can get rid of it, great, if not, oh well, but you'll sound better with it gone.

  5. The best choice for your health as well as your coolness factor is to stop playing the trumpet as soon as possible.
