  1. I found that cucumber and vit e, lotion helps in the healng. I have to give my baby allergy pills 2 twice a day, have been for 2 years. nothing helps, but the lotion has calmed it down, and she is growing her hair back.

  2. Allergies are commonly caused by low quality dog food containing Corn, soy, wheat, colors, chemical preservatives such as ethoxyquin, by-products, menadione, and/or euthanasia drugs.

Grains for your dog should also be avoided.

Look into changing to something like Evo, Blue wilderness, Wellness core, Taste of the wild, or solid gold barking at the moon if you feed a dog food with one of the above ingredients in it.

Give it six weeks atleast to see if there is any improvement. In the meantime, it wouldnt hurt to do an oatmeal bath, but avoid doing them more than once every week or it may dry out her skin. If her skin starts to look dry, cut back on the baths.

www.dogfoodguru.com can help you with a diet for allergies.

I would no longer give her the advantage either. If you want to treat for fleas look into going to a holistic veterinarian. You can hopefully avoid having your dog on meds for the rest of her life and a holistic vet is more likely to look for the cause and not treat the symptoms.

  3. Hi! :(

Did the vet test what kind of allergies?  Did they give you some Benedryl.  Also what kind of food are you feeding?  Summer is a hard time for allergies.  If Benedryl doesn't work she may need steriods or allergy shots.  Also did the vet check for fungal infection, hot spots, or fleas?

  4. Has a fungal infection been ruled out by the vet?
