  1. The answer is A.  The trachea and voice box are constructed from circular bands of cartilage which is made from fibrous connective tissue.  The glottis and epiglottis are at the separation of the throat where it separates to become the trachea and the esophagus.  When you swallow, the trachea moves "up" and the epiglottis seals off the trachea giving food and liquids a single route into the esophagus.  "D" is made from "B".

The vocal cords (actually called the vocal "folds") are smooth muscles that tighten and relax to control the rate at which they vibrate as air from the lungs rushes by and out.  In doing so, the vocal folds change the tone of one's voice.

  2. It's B.  It can't be C because epiglottis is your adams apple, and that just deals with your eating not sound.  Same with D.  It is not A because that is like the esophagus.

  3. i agree with B. none of the others make any sense

  4. I pick B as well.

  5. B
