The volume control on my car cd player seems to be jammed.?

When I have it at say 4 or 5 and then adjust the volume it shoots up as high as possible, currently its at 27!!. I opened it up inside but cannot see any probleam.

try resetting it. if its not hardware its software

i agree with what matt says assuming its a new cd/radio player but just in case its an old one with k***s rather than buttons ,sometimes dust gets in between the k**b and wd40 is aboutt the best thing to use to clean it. you might have to unplug the player mind you just to be on the safe side and let it dry out.

ps just thought if you do unplug dont forget you probably need the code when you plug back in.
