  1. The manager should have offered to comp your meal or give you a free dessert.  If for no other reason but to try and provide you with customer service so you will come back and say positive things to others.

  2. You can be angry if you want...  or not...

It would have been courteous to offer to clean your clothes or something but apparently neither happened.  So let it go.

Hope your suit wasn't ruined, though...

  3. No, just don't go back there.  The world doesn't owe you anything you know, it was an accident - deal.

  4. You could have approached the manager calmly about.  If it was a high end place they would take care of you.  The waitress should have apologized and reported it to her manager so they would know.  I don't go out much, the worse I face is the ketchup pack squirts sideways at Burger King.  lol-lol

  5. Anger is something to feel. It is spontaneous. It is how we express the anger that makes the difference. Perhaps, you can be diplomatic and ask what you want in a nice way. If this doesn't work, you can always elevate your request to higher management. If this still doesn't work, then realize this....it has been found that satisfied customers will tell 3 other friends but a dissatisfied customer will tell 10 friends. Eventually, if they have this type of service, they will not last long...in the business.

  6. How rude! I hope you didn't leave her a tip.

  7. Yes- you have the right to be angry!! The offer to dryclean your suit probably never crossed their minds. But, comping your meal should have been a must. I am a waitress at Olive Garden and we make sure our guest are 100% satisfied with their dinning experience. I once had a glass of Ice-T fall off my try onto the table, I felt so bad that I gave ev-1 free desserts and didn't charge them for their drinks. This made my customers so happy. They in return left me a pretty nice tip.

  8. Meal comping should have gone down

  9. Your meal should of been free & I would take the watress my drycleaning bill or talk to whoever was incharge.

  10. I think they should have apologized and either given you the meal complimentary or offered to pay the dryclean bill.  It is ridiculous for them to expect for you to just "get over it" as the person above says. They are probably some teenage waiter/waitress that is inept and did the same thing, and thinks they don't owe an apology.

You have every right to be mad. You don't go out to eat to get spilled on, then not get comp'd for the event, even if it was an accident, it doesn't matter; it still happened.

Food poisoning is an accident, but it still happens too....

  11. You should really be upset.  I'd get hold of the OWNER.
