  1. India played very badly in the first and the 5th match, losing both of them. The other 3 matches were won somewhat strangely. Sri Lanka played better but lost 3 matches. How did each player play ? Let us see the performances on a 'per match' basis, as determined by my computer programme.

India: (1) Dhoni (5 matches, 5 innings, 193 runs, 4 catches, 69.6 marks per match) (2) Virat Kohli (5 matches, 5 innings, 159 runs, 3 catches, 57 marks per match) (3) Suresh Raina (5 matches, 5 innings, 157 runs, bowled 12 balls, conceded 11 runs and taken 0 wickets, 2 catches, 55.5 marks per match) (4) Pragyan Ojha (2 matches, 1 inning, 21 runs, bowled 78 balls, conceded 37 runs and taken 2 wickets, 1 catch, 44.4 marks per match) (5) Zaheer Khan (5 matches, 4 innings, 18 runs, bowled 278 balls, conceded 144 runs and taken 9 wickets, 0 catches, 43.6 marks per match) (6) Munaf Patel (5 matches, 1 inning, 20 runs, bowled 246 balls, conceded 166 runs and taken 7 wickets, 1 catch, 39.1 marks per match) (7) Yuvraj Singh (5 matches, 5 innings, 72 runs, bowled 138 balls, conceded 111 runs and taken 3 wickets, 2 catches, 38.8 marks per match) (8) Harbhajan Singh (4 matches, 4 innings, 17 runs, bowled 178 balls, conceded 113 runs and taken 6 wickets, 1 catch, 38.4 marks per match) (9) Praveen Kumar (3 matches, 1 inning, 4 runs, bowled 144 balls, conceded 121 runs and taken 5 wickets, 1 catch, 36.3 marks per match) (10) Irfan Pathan (3 matches, 3 innings, 19 runs, bowled 132 balls, conceded 108 runs and taken 3 wickets, 1 catch, 32.8 marks per match) (11) RP Singh (1 match, 1 inning, 4 runs, bowled 48 balls, conceded 54 runs and taken 1 wicket, 1 catch, 31.4 marks per match) (12) Badrinath (3 matches, 2 innings, 39 runs, 2 catches, 26.6 marks per match) (13) Rohit Sharma (5 matches, 5 innings, 72 runs, bowled 59 balls, conceded 40 runs and taken 0 wickets, 0 catches, 25.6 marks per match) (14) Gautam Gambhir (4 matches, 4 innings, 36 runs, 2 catches, 17.8 marks per match)

Sri Lanka: (1) Thilan Tushara (5 matches, 3 innings, 168 runs, bowled 220 balls, conceded 159 runs and taken 11 wickets, 2 catches, 100 marks per match) (2) Mahela Udawatte (1 match, 1 inning, 43 runs, 73.1 marks per match) (3) Mahela Jayawardene (5 matches, 4 innings, 185 runs, 7 catches, 71.5 marks per match) (4) Jehan Mubarak (1 match, 0 inning, 47 runs, 71.4 marks per match) (5) Nuwan Kulasekara (5 matches, 3 innings, 48 runs, bowled 240 balls, conceded 159 runs and taken 11 wickets, 2 catches, 61.4 marks per match) (6) Ajantha Mendis (5 matches, 2 innings, 8 runs, bowled 261 balls, conceded 152 runs and taken 13 wickets, 53 marks per match) (7) Dilhara Fernando (2 matches, 1 inning, 12 runs, bowled 72 balls, conceded 49 runs and taken 3 wickets, 42.6 marks per match) (8) Kapugedera (5 matches, 4 innings, 113 runs, 2 catches, 41.4 marks per match) (9) Sanath Jayasuriya (5 matches, 5 innings, 97 runs, bowled 84 balls, conceded 61 runs and taken 0 wickets, 1 catch, 35.4 marks per match) (10) Muttiah Muralitharan (4 matches, 1 inning, 18 runs, bowled 226 balls, conceded 172 runs and taken 4 wickets, 1 catch, 33 marks per match) (11) BSM Warnapura (2 matches, 2 innings, 30 runs, 3 catches, 32.9 marks per match) (12) Chaminda Vaas (3 matches, 2 innings, 17 runs, bowled 168 balls, conceded 107 runs and taken 2 wickets, 1 catch, 28.6 marks per match) (13) Dilshan (4 matches, 3 innings, 44 runs, 4 catches, 20.6 marks per match) (14) Kumar Sangakkara (5 matches, 5 innings, 37 runs, 4 catches, 16.5 marks per match) (15) Chamara Silva (3 matches, 2 innings, 1 runs, 1 catch, 2.2 marks per match).

Thilan Tushara Mirando should have got the man of the series award. They gave it erroneously to MS Dhoni.

  4. well India players lack professionalism as it depicts time and again .they were busy partying after winning the series hence lost the last match by huge margin .may be they should send few of our players packing home as Australian`s did with symonds even when they were playing against Bangladesh this shows whichever team they play they never take any one lightly how professionals players are and the reason behind them winning straight 3 world cups .may be indian board should take a note or two and come hard on player instead of throwing em parties or allowing them to attend any of so sorts before end of series .thats the only time india will become a consistent side or else same saga gonna continue kings on their day and sole losers on next .its not just yuvraj i must say all the players **** looking at the scorecard shows it all such a miserable score after leading 3-1  .blaming the rain or duckworth lewis wont help any bit anyways even if rain didnt interrupt the match india would have lost with huge margin with such a pathetic preparation for the match

  5. It seems to me that perhaps Yuvraj has other plans beyond cricket which suit his nature better and more rewarding to him personally. But as far as I can tell, the real villain was the rain which always seem to help the srilanks. 74/3 wasn't a bad score under the circumstances but after the rain, all went to the drains. I have no doubt that under normal playing conditions India would have won the final ODI as well. I'm happy with the outcome of the tour anyway.

  6. they were not serious

  7. after winning the series, they thought that they r d best team. especiall dhoni is having that type f thought.

not only no. from that world cup winning, he s having.

that is the main reason for that defeat
