  1. I don't think Cotto can beat Mayweather. People are just being haters. IMO Mayweather is the best p4p fighter today and is tied with Manny Pacquiao.

But if anyone was to beat him it'd be Cotto or De La Hoya

  2. i cant tell you who it would be, but i could tell you the qualities that it would take to beat him. it would take someone that has the strength to bulldoze right through him, the speed and timing to hang and out do him, the endurance to stick with him over the long haul, and the intelligence to out wit him.

  3. i know the top welterweights have better chance of beating him then his his opponnents in his last 3 years

  4. Mayweather can be beat, he's human. There is no ducking, its just everytime some flash in the pan guy comes alone, people jump on the band wagon. He gets his but kick and then they look for the next guy to releave them from the Mayweather storm. It would have to be a boxer to beat Mayweather. A brawler would have to catch him out of his prime. Here are a list of thing why its hard to beat him.

    Best defense in boxing

    Mental game/ring smarts

    Good leg movement/Head movement

    Use the ring/Excellent counter puncher

    Speed/Excellent stamina

Smart inside fighter/Can adjust when needed

    Not a one dimensional fighter

One of the best fighters going back and on the ropes

Has a effective jab/dont use it in some fightes as much.

I can go on. This is what you call a complete boxer. Can you say all these thing about most boxers today? lets be real about it. Everyone has a chance to beat Mayweather, its just doing it. Mayweather is studying his opponent when he is fighting. Cotto been hurt by averge fighters that couldn't finish him. If Cotto get hurt by Mayweather, do you think he can recover if the bell is not on his side? Mosley had him hurt around the 9th and stop it for some water on the mat. You have to give Cotto his credit but he still havent improve his defense. Your strenght doesn't make up for your defense.

  5. michael why would you like to see another fight with oscar.floyd completely outboxed him.i had it 9 rounds to 3 for floyd. oscar cannot and will not beat floyd.cotto is not yet a big enough money fight for floyd. i dont think de la hoya deserves a rematch but its a lot more than floyd would get for fighting cotto now and a much easier fight so why not. floyd is a great fighter so i think he can retire undefeated. he hasnt really been troubled very much in his career so far

  6. He'll be beatable within a couple of years.  He's about to start losing his gifts of speed and reflex, and that's gonna be murder on the way he fights.  I'd like to see him fight 4 times a year, against a bunch of stiffs, then retire 50-0

  7. How about when he fights the Big Show on Wrestlemania,

  8. You said that well... I don't know why suckaz be hatin' cuz he be the man.  Anyways, I think that it's gonna have to be someone who's a master of the sweet science and happens to fight/think like Mayweather.  From what I hear, Cotto's might be the answer.

  9. Do I think someone WILL ever beat him? Or do I think someone CAN beat him?

If he continues to duck the dangerous competition, opting instead to go for the easier, bigger money fights, then yeah he might retire undefeated.

But if he grows some balls and decides to actually test himself against Cotto, then we'll see what he's made of. Right now, the styles matchup favors Cotto handily the way I see it.

  10. This topic has been belabored but Cotto, Cintron, Margarito in that order. De La Hoya got a split decision from Floyd ?! What's that ? De la Hoya is on his way out and gave Floyd a run for his money! Anyone who has watched Cotto knows that he is the real deal ! Even Mosley commented on how deceptively fast Cotto was in the fight.

If any of you have watched Cotto fight you know that he's a southpaw fighter who fights orthodox. His left jab is a hard straight left. He doesn't pitty pat, a la Hatton. His punches have conviction. And if you were at the Mosley fight you could here Cotto's body shots 20 rows back!

Cotto TKO over "Runner" Boy Floyd

  11. De la hoya in the rematch if it happens has a great chance ... if he ever fights Mosely even better chance. Also Kermit Cintron and Miguel Cotto all have pretty good chances to beat him, seems too many people still on cottos nuts ... thinking cotto would have the edge on mayweather in a fight or be the favorite to win is just crazy talk .... Shane and Oscar both have better chances of beating Floyd than Cotto would ever have. It all depends on how long Floyd decides to stick around realisticly he could fight on for a good 6 years if he chose too but with the amount of money hes made already i doubt he stick around that long. Hes very proud of his accomplishments and is pretty careful on who he chooses to fight at this stage of his carear. If he wants to go down in history as one of the best ever to lace up the gloves he needs to fight all of those guys before he retires though. I would love to see him give oscar his rematch then give mosely a shot and then take on the younger guys like cotto and cintron.

  12. Mayweather is a sniper, opting instead to duck, lean back, and does all sorts of weird movements; and fires a shot only when his opponent is offguard.

He's a terribly boring fighter. If he fights somebody with a style like his, the audience will no doubt, fall asleep.

If Mayweather fights, it shouldn't be called Boxing. It should be called a Lullabying.

I think nobody can beat him, cause he's the only one who does what he does.....that is bore the opponent to defeat.
