ARAAFA won the Irish 2000 Guineas in 2006, after finishing 4th in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket behind George Washington.

He won 2 Group/Grade 1 races: the Irish 2,000 Guineas and the James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.  He placed second in the QEII Stakes, again behind George Washington.

He started his first season at stud earlier this year and is standing at Platation Stud in Newmarket at a fee of £15,000.  Funnily enough a friend of mine is his stallion man, and reports that he has taken to his new job well.
